‘American Horror Story’ To Combine ‘Murder House’ And ‘Coven’ With New Season

American Horror Story is about to start doing what everyone’s been waiting for. That means that characters from old shows are going to start making their way into future seasons, but there is one season that is going to be a straight Murder House and Coven crossover event.

Ryan Murphy spoke at the Entertainment Weekly PopFest on Sunday and gave the audience the thrill of a lifetime when he revealed his plans for the two American Horror Story seasons to become one, which seems to be coming sooner than later.

“We do know what we’re going to do,” Ryan Murphy told the PopFest audience about the Murder House and Coven season. “It’s not going to be next season, but we are going to do a season that’s a crossover between Murder House and Coven together, which is very bizarre.”

In the past, American Horror Story has already started featuring ties to previous seasons of the show in current running themes, which started with Freak Show featuring Pepper and Lily Rabe returning as the wholesome nun from Asylum (pre-possession). Last season on American Horror Story: Hotel, we also saw Lady Gaga show up at the Murder House for an abortion and we got Billy Dean (Sarah Paulson) back for an episode of Hotel.

All of those instances and more have only been little teasers, which were just enough for American Horror Story fans to get nostalgic about the show’s past. But now, there is going to be more in store for fans of American Horror Story that will get a full season devoted to the crossover event that combines the two themes into one.

“I’ve [already] started going to actors from both of the seasons, quietly, saying, ‘I think in this window, if you could fit us in,’” Ryan Murphy told the audience. “So yeah, it’s fun. It’s weird.”

There has been no word yet as to which season that will occur on American Horror Story, but fans can expect it soon.
