‘American Horror Story’ Season 7 Bringing Back Cordelia Foxx Of ‘Coven’ [Video]

American Horror Story Season 7 is a major mystery in these early spring months and producers of the show are teasing their fans quite extensively in media reports, interviews and most recently, at PaleyFest.

“Vintage horror fiction!”

In the past, those who attended PaleyFest on the American Horror Story panel had already secured a role on the next season of American Horror Story. Those who were in attendance at PaleyFest this year, as reported by Deadline, included Sarah Paulson, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Cheyenne Jackson and Adina Porter. But Ryan Murphy was not in attendance this year, presumably because he hasn’t been able to keep his own spoilers under wraps after a few martinis on Watch What Happens Live.

But the very best part of the American Horror Story panel at PaleyFest was when Sarah Paulson let it slip that she wanted to see, and possibly would see, her American Horror Story: Coven character Cordelia Foxx come back for Season 7 of AHS. Of course this was when Paulson was asked who she wanted play again on Season 7 of AHS.

“Cordelia Foxx, because I would like to see her getting her powers as the Supreme,” Sarah Paulson said on the American Horror Story PaleyFest 2017 panel. “Maybe we’ll get to see that.”

For those who need a refresher, Cordelia Foxx was the fictional headmistress at Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies in the Season 3 installment of American Horror Story: Coven. When the show left off, Cordelia Foxx was finally revealed to be the Supreme for the coven and had assumed the role and expanded their reach for young ladies across the world that had special powers, otherwise known as witches.

We also heard from Denis O’Hare, who commented that he would like to go back and revisit his character of Larry Harvey from Season 1 of American Horror Story: Murder House. Harvey was last seen going to prison on Season 1.

“Atmospheric and Creepy”

What we know so far about Season 7 of American Horror Story is that it is going to start on election night in 2016 and there will be characters featured in that episode that mirror the real life candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Even though Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson have been confirmed for Season 7 of American Horror Story, it has also been confirmed that Paulson will not be portraying the role of Hillary Clinton.
