‘The Conjuring 2’ Is Coming Home To Horror Fans [Video]

The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist has made waves all over the cinematic box office this summer and horror fans have flocked to theaters all over the world to get a glimpse. But the craze for the film isn’t over just yet, considering it still has a Blu Ray and DVD release coming up.

As of right now, the total box office haul for The Conjuring 2 is sitting at around $310 million, according to its stats on Box Office Mojo. But that still leaves it about $8 million shy of The Conjuring, which banked $318 million worldwide and became the phenomenon that launched the franchise and the spinoff films (Annabelle and one more to come).

Fans can expect to see The Conjuring 2 when it hits DVD and Blu Ray on September 13, according to its Amazon listing. The Conjuring 2 on home video is also expected to give fans an extra dose of the creepy “true horror” story after you bring it home with loads of extras on both formats. They include features about the real life incident in Enfield that inspired the movie, notes from the real life Warren case files and a special feature that shows James Wan’s creation in progress and how it came to the big screen.

Both the DVD and Blu Ray copies of The Conjuring 2 will also include a digital copy for those of you who like to cash in on the Ultraviolet or iTunes extras.

For those who are unaware, The Conjuring franchise has already announced a spinoff film tentatively titled The Nun, and a third installment to the franchise, The Conjuring 3. There has been no word yet as to what case file from the Warren archive The Conjuring 3 will be about, but it has been reported that it will be set in the 1980s.
