Death House is one of those horror movies that fans of the genre have been waiting a long time to see. With major veterans of high profile horror movies over the years filling the lead roles, Death House is destined to be an instant classic.
“People are strange!”
Now that the producers for Death House have arranged a screening for the highly anticipated horror film, The Dorkening had a chance to get some reactions from horror fans who seemed to have nothing but great things to say about.
“It was insane, the ideas are insane,” one horror fan said.

A few of the lead actors in Death House that are a major draw for the film includes big names like Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th franchise), Dee Wallace (The Howling, E.T.), Tony Todd (Candyman, Final Destination), Sean Whalen (The People Under the Stairs), Sid Haig (House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects), Adrienne Barbeau (Creepshow, The Fog), Tony Moran (the original Michael Myers in Halloween), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes, The Devil’s Rejects), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) and Bill Moseley (House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects).
Horror fans are calling Death House a violent and bloody movie with scenes that are reminiscent of The Cabin in the Woods. Most fans remember that scene in Cabin in the Woods where the final two “survivors” made their way down the elevator and hell broke loose when the monsters were released. One can only assume that is what they were referring to.
“Vintage horror fiction!”
With the high profile horror names associated to the project, director Harrison Smith has characterized Death House as “The Expendables of horror.”
There has been no word yet as to when Death House will be released in the United States, but horror fans can likely expect to see it sometime this year. Halloween will be the likely candidate, but nothing has been announced as of yet.
