Stephen King’s Castle Rock is coming to Hulu next year with a 10-episode order that weaves all of the prolific horror writer’s stories together in one cohesive universe. Now that new details have been released, fans can start to get some idea as to just how big this production may be, with J.J. Abrams attached to the project.

Stephen King has been in the news quite extensively lately with several projects rolling out one after the other, which includes IT, The Mist, The Dark Tower and Gerald’s Game. But Castle Rock is the one with the most ambition attached to the project, given it is all encompassing in the Stephen King universe.
Now that Stephen King’s Castle Rock has officially been green-lit by Hulu, the production has released some details to a regional news source in Massachusetts, Lowell Sun. Although the details are minimal at this time, at least fans of Stephen King can get some idea as to when the TV series will roll out on Hulu’s streaming network.

What is being reported at this time is that production for Stephen King’s Castle Rock is slated to begin in August and will run through until the end of January next year. All ten episodes will be filmed in Devens, Massachusetts with the exception of one extra location shoot in nearby Orange, Massachusetts.
For those who have not been keeping up on what Stephen King’s Castle Rock is, his fans will be pleased to know that their favorite characters from Stephen King’s books will be making an appearance in the series to showcase the universe the famed horror author has been creating for more than forty years.
